My Heart Behind and Prayer for Simply Sydney C

Hi friends!

Wow, I can’t believe the time is finally here to show you all what I’ve been working on for the past few weeks. If I’m being completely honest, this has been on my heart and mind for the past three years. I actually started my “Simply Sydney C” Instagram page after our first daughter, who I will refer to as “Bean” here on the blog, was born! I didn’t really have a plan for any of it, or know what I was doing for that matter. I just knew that I wanted to connect with other moms going through the same things that I was. I wanted to create a safe space for moms struggling with postpartum anxiety, depression, rage, etc. After we had Bean, postpartum anxiety hit me out of nowhere so I wanted to create a creative outlet for myself. I promise to go further in depth about my postpartum experience in a different blog post, but for now, just know that God used it for His glory and I’m now here sharing in hopes it can help other moms going through the same things!

I’ve had some feelings of hesitation when thinking about starting this blog. Me? Sydney? Start a blog? What would I write about? Who would even read it? Why would anybody want to read what I write? What if I’m not as “good” as the other bloggers out there? There’s already a lot of blogs out there, would there really be space for mine? I quickly realized that these hesitations were just holding me back from what I felt God so clearly putting on my heart: to share bits and pieces of my story to encourage other women walking through the same things. My heart behind Simply Sydney C is to create a safe space to share experiences, stories, and some of my favorite things while encouraging you to love who God has created you to be. My prayer is that this blog points you to Jesus, makes you laugh every now and then, gives you fun ideas for you and/or your kiddos, that you hear how God has worked in my story, and you leave here with your cup filled up to pour out to others!

Let the journey begin, friends! Thank you for being here, it means so much to me!

💟Sydney
